Our client, a leading retail company, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. Ideal candidates will have a background in FMCG, Manufacturing, or Retail, and hold a relevant finance qualification.
Role Overview:As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the preparation of management accounts, improve financial controls, and provide essential financial insights to senior leadership. This role requires a detail-oriented and technically proficient finance professional to uphold financial integrity and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and key financial metrics.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and internal controls, with a focus on intercompany transactions.
- Conduct regular balance sheet reviews and ensure the effective implementation of key financial controls.
- Provide technical accounting expertise to ensure adherence to financial policies and best practices.
- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for multiple business entities.
- Support the year-end audit process, ensuring timely execution within budget.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial controls and reporting standards.
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with broader finance initiatives and strategic projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
- ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified, with at least 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong experience in management reporting within an FMCG, Manufacturing, or Retail business.
- Expertise in financial and management accounting, with a solid focus on internal controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving financial issues.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
- Experience in driving improvements in financial processes and reporting structures.
