Finance Manager- up to £55K pa + Bens

Elite Finance recruitment are exclusively hiring for a small bespoke business in hiring a new Finance Manager- Financial Controller.

The business is looking for a detail-oriented finance professional looking to make a difference in a specialist industry. We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their growing team. This role is critical in supporting the Financial Director and will play a key part in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of their business. You will be expected to keep their operations running smoothly while helping shape the financial future of their business.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Planning:

• Oversee and manage daily financial operations, including monitoring running costs.

• Support the Financial Director in producing forecasts, financial plans, and budgets.

• Develop and implement strategies to manage financial expectations and ensure sustainability.

• Provide clear and insightful financial reporting to guide company decision-making.

• Conduct cost analysis and financial performance reviews to optimise spending.

Project & Client Financials:

• Assist the Project Managers in managing project budgets and job costing, ensuring restoration projects stay on track financially.

• Oversee the production and issuance of payment applications, ensuring timely payment collection.

• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate project pricing and financial tracking.

• Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and creditors.

Payroll, Compliance & Risk Management:

• Oversee payroll processing for both salaried and self-employed staff.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, pensions, and financial reporting standards.

• Manage VAT returns, audits, and financial risk assessments.

• Oversee insurance policies and business risk management.

Process Improvement & Technology:

• Review and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency.

• Identify and implement technology solutions to improve financial management and reporting. • Drive innovation in financial processes while ensuring compliance and accuracy.

• Manage change effectively within a small, specialised business, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new methods.

What we’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in finance management or a similar role.

• Strong understanding of job costing and project-based finances.

• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.

• Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and build relationships.

• A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.

• Experience in reviewing and improving financial systems, processes, and technology.

• Adaptability and resourcefulness to drive change and efficiency improvements in a small business.

• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
