Part-Time Finance Manager (3 Days a Week) - £75,000 Pro Rata

Are you a finance pro looking for a part-time role in a creative and fast-growing agency? Our client, an independent design agency based in London Bridge, is on the lookout for an experienced Finance Manager to take the reins of their day-to-day financial operations while working closely with the Leadership Team to drive business growth.

Your Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll be the go-to finance expert for the Leadership Team, Project Managers, suppliers, and clients’ finance teams. You’ll ensure the smooth running of financial operations, while providing key insights and reporting to help shape the agency’s future.
Key Responsibilities:
? Financial Reporting & Strategy
- Prepare monthly management reports (KPI Dashboard, P&L, Forecasts) with input from an external FD consultant.
- Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports, including revenue analysis and project profitability insights.
? Project Finance & Collaboration
- Partner with Project Managers to ensure seamless client billing, cost tracking, and job maintenance.
- Flag financial issues within project teams and escalate to leadership when necessary.
- Work closely with the Client Development Director & Ops Director to foster collaboration and best practices.
? Finance Operations
- Manage payments for freelancers & suppliers.
- Oversee monthly payroll (liaising with payroll bureau & pension administration).
- Handle quarterly VAT returns and credit card reconciliations.
- Keep on top of weekly cash flow reporting.
- Allocate project expenses to client accounts and ensure approvals are in place.
- Support the Leadership Team with ad hoc reports and strategic financial projects.
Bonus Points For:
?? Experience with HMRC compliance (VAT, P11Ds, PSA).?? Strong expertise in Xero & Excel.?? Background in a design, creative, or production environment with project-based revenue.
