Kenny Recruit are looking for a progressive Finance Manager to join a client of ours who is placed within in the wellness industry. Our client provide products for every family member and for every lifestyle. Having started business over 30 years ago, our client now sells internationally with offices based across the world.
The Finance Manager will report into the Finance Director and be a part of the finance team who provides financial expertise and knows how to ensure the business goals are met. The Finance Manager will oversee 3 entities, and they will combine both accounting and management skills. As the Finance Manager you will have overall accountability for preparing, developing and applying findings from financial reports. Responsibilities include leading the financial accounting team, maintaining financial policies and management information systems, alongside establishing effective communication channels to inform management on all aspects of company finance.
We are looking for someone with an audit background. You could be looking to move into industry or have a couple of years of experience of working within industry. You will need to be a leader, you will need to take process improvement ideas to the Finance Director, you will need to look at a problem and have an instinct of what the issue could be and the initiative to solve the issue. It is an exciting opportunity for someone to make this role their own.
Pay: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits
Location: West London (1 days in the office/depending on location, can be less)
Working hours: 9:00am - 5.30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day management of financial accounting team for applicable EMEA entities.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in line with Local GAAP/US GAAP.
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations review for all three EMEA entities, increasing to four by end of 2025, to include sister company.
- Performing variance analysis.
- Liaise with external auditors and lead end-to-end statutory audits for two European companies.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure financial integrity, highlighting risks to the Finance Director.
- Oversight of VAT reporting, EMEA, ensuring timeliness and compliance.
- Manage consolidated cashflow forecast for EMEA.
- Headcount financial modelling; monthly budget vs actuals and assisting with annual headcount budget.
- All EMEA payroll reviews for three entities.
- Provide training and informing of policy updates, with manager level in the business.
- Maintain, update and issue new policies for finance department, as instructed by Finance Director.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, ensuring professional development.
- Assist the Finance Director to build out the tactical strategic plan for the financial accounting function, leading and executing the plan.
- Foster a high-performance finance function that aligns with business objectives.
- Enhance financial systems, automation and reporting capabilities.
- Collaboration with FP&A Manager and Treasury Specialist, understanding and informing between the functions.
- Assisting the FP&A team with commentary and overview for the monthly board report, to submit to the Finance Director.
- Build and maintain departmental relationships and be the main point of contact, with relevant key stakeholders and specialists, across: Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Events, Sales and Member Services
Requirements:
- Recognized professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), qualified.
- Audit trained, ideally first move from practice.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
- Minimum 3 years audit experience.
- VAT experience (UK & European).
- IT literate - Microsoft, finance and management accounting systems, ERP systems.
- Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Evidence of coaching and development of finance teams.
- Finance project management delivery.
- Strategic and analytical financial skills, including macro and micro business environment.
- Excellent communication skills in all areas, including digital space.
- Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail, including accurate data entry skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong technical Financial IT program skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to network and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
