My client, a top 50 Global Bank isĀ seeking a Mandarin-speaking Finance Manager with extensive experience in the banking industry. This role involves supporting the CFO in managing day-to-day financial and tax affairs, regulatory reporting, and Asset-Liability Management (ALM) control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial regulations and a proactive approach to financial management.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Conduct and review daily liquidity risk analysis, including LCR calculation, and periodic interest rate and FX risks analysis in the Banking Book.
  • Assist in monitoring assets and liabilities to ensure they are managed appropriately and effectively.
  • Responsible for the preparation of all finance-related regulatory returns to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and Bank of England (BoE).
  • Implement and test automated regulatory reporting systems for PRA, BoE statistical, and prudential reporting.
  • Develop working relationships with Head Office and other overseas branchesā€™ Finance and ALM teams.
  • Review periodic CT and VAT returns and work with tax advisors.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, business expenses payment processing, and ledger postings.
  • Support the Finance team with IT system testing and updates.
  • Assist in creating and monitoring financial plans and budgets.
  • Help in preparing monthly management information and other business analyses as required, aiming to improve financial reporting.
  • Monitor regulatory policy, proposals, and consultation papers related to Finance.
  • Assist in developing Finance and Accounting policies, implementing systems as necessary, and aiding in the preparation and provision of financial statements and reports.
  • Coordinate with internal auditors on the Finance departmentā€™s audit.
  • Act as a backup for the Finance team and CFO when required.
  • Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by the CFO, including taking minutes of Finance-related meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be a qualified accountant with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience dealing with reports to local regulators is preferred.
  • Must act with integrity, skill, care, and diligence.
  • Must pay due regard to the interests of customers and treat them fairly.
  • Must observe proper standards of market conduct.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English.
