Description
Reporting directly to the CEO & Managing Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the financial health of the company. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance
- Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Manage the company's day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision making and business planning.
- Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency and profitability.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends, and communicate implications to management.
Profile
- Proven experience in a similar finance role, preferably within an SME environment.
- Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred but Qualified by experience also considered
- Understanding of UK GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Xero is desirable but not essential
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Management experience is not required
Job Offer
£50,000 - £60,000
