Title: Finance Manager/Management Accountant
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) + wider benefits
Location: Based in Chelsea with occasional travel to St James’ Square

Our client, a family office-backed charity based in the prestigious Chelsea district, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant/Finance Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage the financial operations of a distinguished charity while providing insightful analysis on personal expenditure for the family office.
This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a standalone role and can work independently. The successful candidate will report directly to the family office CFO, playing a pivotal role in managing the charity's financial operations and providing detailed expenditure analysis for the family office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for the charity, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Conduct detailed analysis and reporting on the family’s personal expenditure, requiring a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Collaborate closely with the family office CFO to deliver financial insights and strategic support.
- Oversee cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting to ensure efficient financial management.
- Ensure compliance with Charities Commission regulations and have an understanding of SORP and SOFA accounting.
- Manage and maintain financial records, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare documents and assist with the annual audit process, liaising with auditors to provide necessary information and resolve any queries.
- Manage the data integrity of the Financial Systems and documents, including filing invoices.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required by the family office and charity management.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant or Finance Manager, ideally within a standalone role.
- Strong background in preparing management accounts and financial analysis.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Educated to degree level or at least AAT level 4 qualified
- Working knowledge of bookkeeping software and Xero
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the non-profit sector or family office environment is an advantage.
