Finance Manager,Private Equity-Backed R&D, Central London, £75-80k + Bonus

We're exclusively partnering with a leading, private equity-backed company that's dominating its market. This ambitious company has achieved global expansion through strategic acquisitions, pushing boundaries and setting the standard in its field.

The Role:

As Finance Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Group Credit Controller and Accounts Receivable Assistant. Your responsibilities will include managing the accounting processes for the UK and international entities as well as treasury-related tasks. The position also offers opportunities to collaborate with international subsidiary controllers, focusing on cash flow support and inter-company agreements.

This role provides significant senior-level exposure, with regular reporting duties such as weekly cash flow and consolidated receivables reports, alongside the preparation of UK management accounts. These activities culminate in the production of Board-level reporting outputs.

It is a hands-on position, requiring a proactive approach to journal postings and delivering results while leading an engaged and motivated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of two within the Accounts Receivable function.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of monthly management accounts packs.
  • Enhancing the quality and value-added insights of reported financial data.
  • Overseeing receivables projections and cash flow modelling with effective controls and reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Maximising tax compliance through effective recovery and adherence to regulations.
  • Facilitating clear and effective communication between the business and finance teams.
  • Delivering weekly and monthly internal and external reports to drive operational and financial performance.

Essentials:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CA) with 3+ years post qualified experience
  • Big 4 or top 10 practice background
  • Proven 'hands on' management accounting experience
  • Exposure to treasury and cashflow management
  • Line management experience of 1+ direct reports
  • A roll-your-sleeves-up mentality & great work ethic to make an impact and build a foundation for our growth

Desirables:

  • Experience working in a multi-entity, multinational Group business
  • Spanish speaking
