As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial health of our organisation. Reporting into the Financial Director, you will oversee financial planning, reporting, and compliance while supporting strategic decision-making. Central London office, hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to provide clear insights into the charity's financial position.
  • Ensure compliance with charity-specific financial regulations and legal requirements, including audits and tax filings.
  • Manage and monitor cash flow, reserves, and investments to safeguard financial stability.
  • Develop and maintain effective financial policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance to senior leaders, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Work collaboratively with program teams to ensure proper allocation and tracking of funds.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, donors, and regulatory bodies.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the charity or nonprofit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of charity-specific accounting practices, including SORP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
