- Month-End and Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the month-end process to ensure accurate and timely financial accounting.
- Prepare monthly financial reports with insightful commentary and variance analysis.
- Accounts Payable Management:
- Lead and support the accounts payable team, ensuring timely supplier payments.
- Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT and annual Corporation Tax returns.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously enhance transactional and finance processes.
- Propose and implement streamlined methods of working while managing stakeholder expectations.
- Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with the business to evaluate new products and assess financial implications.
- Ad-Hoc Tasks:
- Support the Financial Controller on various projects as needed.
- ACA/ACCA-qualified accountant with robust technical accounting knowledge.
- Industry experience with expertise in VAT partial exemption and transfer pricing.
- Familiarity with accounting systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communicator, capable of building relationships and working collaboratively.
- Experience with SQL/Looker is advantageous.
