Finance Manager | £50-54k | Disability Charity | Permanent | 2-3 days hybrid working

This Finance Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a medium sized disability charity during a period of change. They need a competent and experienced charity accountant to support them throughout their year-end process, manage and oversee a small team and work towards improving processes and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working towards their year-end and supporting in ad hoc tasks relating to this
  • Reporting into the Finance Director and managing a small team and overseeing the work of the staff
  • Preparing and updating Management Accounts, investigating variances, and identifying areas for improvement
  • Review contracts with local authorities to ensure accuracy and long term agreements are in line with organisational goals
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide support and up to date information
  • Oversee process improvement projects, including integration with a new system
  • Analysing metrics and other data to ensure accurate and relevant reporting

Person Specification

  • A part or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
  • Experience of working in a charity (understanding and knowledge of Charity SORP)
  • Ideally have experience of working with local authority funding and/or housing
  • Experience of management accounting
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to work with various stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial and ambitious character with a proactive mindset

This role is working with a great team who have a drive to improve the finance team and deliver key services to their end users. The role will be based in Central London 2-3 days a week and the rest working from home. They are looking to interview very soon but can wait up to 3 months for the right candidate.
