Edward Mann is currently recruiting a Part-Time Finance Manager for a rapidly growing Sports Club based in Central London. The role offers hybrid working, with a minimum of 1 to 2 days in the office, and the remainder of the work can be completed remotely.

Our client is looking for a qualified Accountant (though candidates with relevant experience but without formal qualifications will also be considered) who can take a hands-on approach to managing the club’s finances. The role involves handling day-to-day financial operations, improving financial processes, and providing the board with regular reports and insights.

The successful candidate will provide practical expertise, offer leadership to the finance team, and oversee core accounting and reporting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce monthly financial reports
  • Improve and streamline financial systems and processes
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Prepare budgets and update quarterly forecasts
  • Review financial performance with the Chief of Staff and department heads
  • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
  • Oversee the bookkeeping firm
  • Manage credit control processes
  • Approve purchase invoices

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent); candidates with relevant experience but without formal qualifications may also be considered.
