JasperRose is partnering with a well-known sports brand that is looking to hire a Finance Manager, based in Central London, working 2 days in the office. This is a newly created role due to significant growth within the group, following recent acquisitions and joint ventures. The company is seeking a commercially minded, forward-thinking individual to support with the integration of newly acquired brands and to implement robust controls to drive further growth in the group.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is an extremely varied role where you will be coming in to improve the existing controls across the group function. You will work closely with the senior management team and be involved in extensive interaction with non-finance stakeholders across the business, including Founders of newly acquired brands

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement robust financial controls across the group structure including improving the month-end and management accounts process
  • Integrating newly acquired entities into the group and ensuring the finance processes adhere with newly formed group policies
  • Support the Head of Finance with any M&A and due diligence work
  • Driving the improvement and accuracy of their VAT reporting across the group
  • Supporting the budgeting cycle for new entities within the group
  • Continuously looking at ways to improve existing processes and procedures including improving the integration of their sales ticketing system with their ERP system
  • Partnering with both finance and non-finance stakeholders across the group including Founders of newly acquired brands

Skill set required

The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant from a practice background who has 1-2 years’ experience in industry, candidates looking to make their first move into industry will also be considered. You must know what good financial controls look like and be able to implement these into a group structure. Experience working in either a financial or management accounting role where you have driven process improvement is preferred but not essential. You must be commercially astute with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the group. To succeed in this role, you will be passionate about the sports industry and will thrive at working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment where no day is the same.
