My client, a financial services company, are seeking a highly organised and experienced Finance Operations Manager. As the Finance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the AP function entirely, as well as managing the outsourced payroll function. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to collate and monitor all necessary details for payroll processing, including reconciliations.

This is a permanent and full-time role based by Liverpool Street.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable Management:

- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including receiving, reviewing, and processing invoices.

- Ensure accurate coding, approval, and timely payment of invoices.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve any invoice discrepancies or issues.

- Perform regular accounts payable reconciliations and address any discrepancies.

  1. Payroll Coordination:

- Collaborate with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

- Collect and collate all necessary payroll information, including commission-related details.

- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies.

- Collaborate with the payroll provider to address any payroll-related issues or concerns.

  1. Accounts Receivable Support:

- Assist with elements of accounts receivable, including invoice generation and customer collections.

- Collaborate with the sales team to address any billing or payment-related inquiries.

- Perform regular accounts receivable reconciliations and address any discrepancies.

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

- Assist the Finance Director in preparing financial reports related to accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable.

- Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis of financial data.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

  1. Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Work closely with the Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) to ensure smooth financial operations.

- Collaborate with internal departments to address any financial-related inquiries or issues.

- Foster strong relationships with external vendors, including the payroll provider.

Requirements:

- Qualified by experience in finance operations, accounting, or a related field.

- Proven experience in managing accounts payable and payroll functions.

- Familiarity with commission-based businesses is highly desirable.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office suite.

- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Reporting and Work Environment:

- This role reports directly to the Finance Director.

- The Finance Operations Manager will have no direct reports but will be responsible for managing the functions entirely.

- The role focuses on the UK operations.

- The Finance Operations Manager will work closely with the COO to ensure smooth financial operations.
