Finance Reporting Manager, PE Backed Market Leader, Central London, £85k + bonus

I am working exclusively with a fast-growing, private equity-backed international R&D business with a strong global presence across 10 countries and c15 entities. The business is driven by commercial innovation, with ambitious growth plans supported by recent strategic acquisitions.

This is a newly created Financial Reporting Manager role reporting directly to the impressive Head of Finance. You will lead consolidated reporting and entity-level management accounts across the Group. You'll drive the month-end close process, deliver high-quality reporting packs with insightful commentary, and support external audit activity-all while leading a small but impactful team of 4 qualified accountants.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the financial close process for each Group entity under direct management and adherence to IFRS reporting standards
  • Ownership of the Chart of Accounts globally and the dimension reporting fields
  • Ownership of the P&L reporting function throughout the Group, at local and Consolidated level
  • Management of inputs to Balance Sheet reporting regarding accruals and prepayment accounting
  • Control of capex spend, inputs to third-party software, and depreciation/amortisation postings for each local entity
  • Consolidation of analytical queries and commentary in support of the management accounts
  • Coordination of external audit requests that need to be delivered by the analyst team, and maintaining an audit-standard approval flow for judgemental items
  • Active leadership within the finance function, contributing to continuous improvement

Essentials:

  • ACA qualified accountant - Ideally top 10
  • Post-qualified experience working in a multi-entity, multinational Group environment
  • Proven team management capability
  • Confident, credible, and professional with strong influencing skills
  • Comfortable operating in a high-paced, international setting
  • Strong IFRS knowledge; confident producing journals, balance sheets, and management accounts
