We are working with a well known environmental organisation in their search for a Finance Specialist. This is a fully remote, 6 month FTC maternity cover, with their offices being based in Central London. This role is looking to pay a salary up to £40,000 for the right candidate.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Finance Specialist will provide finance related support to Europe team and are responsible for responding to, routing, or resolving inquiries. This includes receiving, organising, and keying invoices from a variety of sources into the Accounts Payable system, closing out the reconciling items from the balance sheet, preparing journal entries and assisting and maintaining contract files.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
- Experience with GAAP and fund accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Experience using automated accounting systems.
- Experience with accounting/financial issues and analysis.
- Technical experience with spreadsheet programs, general ledger reports and financial management
- tools.
