Our Client, a Major Oil and Gas Operator is seeking an experienced Financial Consultant. This is a 2 year PAYE contract role based in London. It is 37.5 hours per week - 3 days in office, 2 days WFH.
Specialised knowledge in SAP FC, consolidation, and industry experience essential
Purpose of Role:Prepares financial reporting consolidations for internal and external group reporting for the acquired portfolio in SAP FC
Areas of Responsibility:Providing management of sub-consolidation financial reportingPromote a culture of high performance and continuous improvementProvide accounting functional excellence, advisory and governance across the various clientlocationsProvide guidance and support to acquired BU Finance Managers on financial reporting
Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements within acquired SAP FC sub-consolidation module, and other integrated reported systemsMaintain relationships with SAP support team to ensure integrity of reporting systems for master/transactional data and configurationSupport point for SAP FC tool BU business usersEnsures compliance with IFRS, accounting policies and procedures, technical accounting and external regulatory and legal requirementsSupports BU submissions for group reportingSupport the external statutory audit process and key responsibility in providing reporting information to various stakeholdersDesign, develop and maintain a robust system of internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the reliability of financial statement and compliance with relevant UK plc requirements
Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.:University degreeACA professional accounting qualificationExtensive experience in financial reporting within a multinational company and/or Big 4 firm, with a strong preference for experience in the oil and gas sectorStrong technical accounting skills, with In-depth knowledge of IFRS and internal control requirementsProven track record of managing relationships with auditorsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise mannerStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesEnjoys challenging status quo and looks for continuous improvement in delivering better business results
