Financial Modelling Manager

- Salary: £70,000-£80,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Financial Modelling Manager to support our client’s internal teams and business development for strategic tenders and M&A projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in producing financial models and detailed bottom-up builds of the business, collaborating closely with multiple departments, and presenting findings to senior management.
Our client operates within the transport & infrastructure sector, so industry experience will be highly regarded.
Day to Day of the role:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic tenders and M&A projects.
- Conduct detailed bottom-up builds of the business from scratch to provide accurate financial forecasts.
- Work closely with finance, business development, legal, and structured finance departments to gather necessary data and insights.
- Provide expert-level option analysis and advise on financial risks, opportunities, and potential impacts of various business strategies.
- Present complex financial information to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
- Support the Head of Financial Modelling in enhancing the financial modelling framework and incorporating best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; CFA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial modelling and analysis, preferably within the transport sector.
- Experience within Big Four transaction services is ideal.
- Demonstrated expertise in M&A, corporate finance, and capital markets.
- Experience within bidding will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial modelling tools; knowledge of Power BI and/or VBA is a plus.
- Ability to manage high-stakes projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop both technical skills and business understanding.
- Capable of supporting ad hoc finance/strategic projects as they arise.
