Role Overview: FP&A ManagerWe are seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute FP&A Manager to join our client's finance team. This role is pivotal in driving strategic financial planning and analysis, supporting business growth, and enhancing financial performance. The ideal candidate will have exceptional Excel skills and the ability to build complex financial models from the ground up, alongside experience in budgeting, forecasting, and presenting monthly financials. A background in working with businesses undergoing strategic changes, such as sales or M&A activity, is also highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modelling & Analysis: Develop and maintain complex financial models from scratch to support strategic planning, business case development, and scenario analysis.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Consolidation & Reporting: Oversee the consolidation of financial results, providing clear and insightful analysis to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Presentation of Financials: Prepare and present monthly financial results, forecasts, and key metrics to the executive team and investors, translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including business unit leaders and private equity partners, to support decision-making and drive financial performance.
  • M&A: Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance tracking.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Strategic Support: Partner with Head of FP&A, CFO, and senior leadership team on strategic projects, providing financial insights and recommendations.
  • Team management: Managing another FP&A analyst

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar FP&A role within a fast-paced, commercial environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build robust financial models from the ground up.
  • Strong forecasting and budgeting capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience with M&A activities and/or supporting a business through a sale or acquisition is highly desirable but not essential
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
  • Experience in the events, media, or related industry is a plus.
