Altum Consulting are excited to be supporting a global healthcare & life science business to secure a brand-new FP&A Manager to lead all commercial finance and work closely with the CFO.
The role will play a critical part in the strategic financial management of the organisation. The primary responsibility is to oversee financial planning and analysis processes, providing key insights that guide decision-making at both operational and strategic levels, collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilising your analytical skills to interpret complex financial data and trends, ultimately contributing to the company's financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify business trends and conduct further analysis to improve the understanding of factors behind the changes/trends occurring, providing insights, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Monitor competitor published data and mine internal sources to gain relevant insights and inform internal stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute strategic financial plans.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish realistic budgets.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop rolling forecasts to provide timely updates on financial performance.
- Build strong relationships with C-suite and senior leadership to understand their needs and provide value-added financial support.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
- Provide financial guidance and support for strategic initiatives.
Required Experience
- Fully qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
- 3-5 years FP&A experience in industry
- Advanced Excel with experience building financial models/reports.
- Advanced PowerPoint experience.
- Good problem solver with intellectual curiosity.
