Fractional CFO | Rapid Growth FMCG Scale-Up | Immediate Start

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative FMCG brand who have experienced significant growth over the past few years. They are looking for someone to join immediately on a 6-month contract, with the likelihood the contract is extended thereafter and potentially transferring to permanent. Having diversified their product offering, they are looking for an experienced CFO with a background working in the consumer goods space.

Our client is a rapidly growing scale-up, and this role is ideally suited for a candidate with experience operating in companies with a turnover exceeding £60 million. Having successfully captured a significant share of the market; our client is poised to accelerate their growth in 2025 with the ambition of becoming a market leader in their sector.

The Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned CFO who has the ability to not only manage their established finance function, but also have an in depth knowledge of the challenges that comes with working in the sector. Working directly with the CEO & board of directors, the ideal candidate would have an innate ability to translate financial concepts to non-finance professionals and provide their insight into commercial strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the current finance team to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Suggest improvements to current financial processes & procedure.
  • Take lead on fundraising via debt & equity
  • Ensure successful delivery of audit.
  • Signoff the 2025 budget
  • Help prepare the business for an exit.

Essential Experience

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified.
  • Excellent written and Verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of fundraising, both debt & equity.
  • Successfully sold a business previously.
  • Operated in companies over £60 million.
  • Recent experience as an FD/CFO in the Cosmetics, beauty, personal care, FMCG, or F&B space.

Day Rate: £900-£1400/day, dependant on experience
