Fractional Finance Director | Facilities Services | Initial 2-3 week engagement

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a family-run facilities services SME based in East London to find them a Fractional/Interim Finance Director for an initial project period of 2-3 weeks (could be full or part-time) followed by an on-going Fractional support (days per week tbc).

Currently with an annual revenue of £5m, they are looking to further establish themselves as a market leader in the area. Despite substantial recent growth, they still operate very much as a family-owned business and are looking for someone who understands the trials and tribulations of a business of this type.

The Role

Initially, our client requires an experienced finance professional to perform an MOT of the business' finances, taking a look at the cashflow forecast and current processes and assessing the financial health. Moving forward they need someone to develop a financial model and lay out blueprint for required changes to the business to ensure sustainability. The ideal situation would lead to the successful candidate taking on this longer project on a Fractional basis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform an MOT on the business' finances.
  • Review cashflow forecasting to ensure accuracy
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes.
  • Develop a financial model that is fit for purpose.
  • Partner with the managing director and make strategic and commercial suggestions with financial backing.
  • Support & upskill the current Finance Manager.

Essential Experience

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA, CIMA)
  • Previous experience as a finance leader (FD, Head of Finance, or CFO).
  • Prior experience professionalizing a finance function.
  • Previous experience working within an SME with a revenue between £1m-£10m

Bonus Experience

  • Experience within the facilities management, service, or construction industries.
  • Prior experience working in a family-run business.

Day Rate: £700-£800 per day (Outside IR35)

Location: London (open to hybrid & onsite)

Start date: ASAP

Contract Length: initial 2-3 week contract, followed by ongoing Fractional.
