Fractional Finance Director | Indie PR Agency | 2-3 days p/week

Harmonic are exclusively partnering with an award-winning Indie PR Agency on a Fractional Finance Director position. They're turning over around £5mill and regarded as one of the most dynamic and emerging Indies with the PR space. This is their first Finance Director appointment, and you'll work closely and directly into the Agency Founder across 2-3 days p/week.

They're looking for this person to act as a trusted business partner for the senior leadership team, so you'll need an entrepreneurial mindset, where you'll advise on infrastructure improvements across the business.

Given the very impressive client roster and the opportunity to build on existing relationships, they are looking to grow by 30-50% for the next 2-3 consecutive years. With this in mind they need an FD with previous experience building a robust financial infrastructure as well as someone adept in retaining a hands on & strategic approach to future planning and growth. The SLT's number 1 priority is to gain true visibility and timely / accurate updates across financials from different areas of the business.

The Role:

  • Producing monthly and year end reports as well as oversight of management accounts
  • Commercial support, strategic analysis and decision support to the SLT
  • Business partnering with SLT
  • Managing the P&L and balance sheet
  • Build relationships with external accounts and assist with queries
  • Improve the quality of variance analysis and assessing time utilisation
  • Leading the growth strategy from a finance perspective
  • Build and re-structure a best in class finance function making improvements,
  • implementing new processes and assessing efficiency of systems

What we need to see (essential):

  • Qualified
  • Professional services background (Agency strongly preferred)
  • Good communication skills

Salary: £600-800 day rate
