Working within the Group Claims function, the role will focus on leading the claims fraud and recovery operations across the group, helping to develop and implement a robust strategy to combat fraud through both the identification and investigation of high risk claims, and deter fraudsters from targeting the company in the first place.

The successful candidate will need to be skilled at analysing information and identifying new sources of insight to help profile claims, thinking creatively and critically, and interacting with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.

The key duties for the role are as follows:

Fraud

  • Working with the Global Claims Leadership Team, as well as other key stakeholders, to implement an effective fraud strategy that minimises the risk of leakage.
  • Driving alignment across big ticket and retail business units through process improvements and technology outcomes.
  • Implementing the necessary governance and controls.
  • Identifying internal and external data sources that provide effective insights in helping to identify high risk/fraudulent claims for investigation, and integrating this into our overall data insight and profiling of claims.
  • Continually refining and enhancing the toolkit available to Fraud Investigators/Claims Handlers to help reduce the risk of fraudulent claims.
  • Building and maintaining a strong market network to understand new and emerging risks of fraud and the tools available to combat it within the travel market, ensuring that the company's processes and controls can react to these risks quickly.
  • Delivering market leading results in the identification and elimination of fraud within the claims process. Innovating from the centre through the use of AI and identifying use cases where machine learning and advanced analytics can offer a competitive advantage.

Recoveries

  • Managing the global claims recovery process to ensure savings are maximised where another party is responsible for the loss.
  • Developing and implementing a strategy that provides alignment across all business units through process improvements and technology efficiencies.
  • Establishing, implementing and monitoring operational objectives with applicable policies and procedures for the recovery unit.
  • Identifying and mobilising scalable opportunities where centres of excellence or third parties can drive consistency, and supporting the business through its growth ambitions.
  • Continuously monitoring and evaluating internal and external performance, and taking steps to improve the efficiency and quality of operations.

Key Requirements

  • Experience within an operational management role, focused on fraud and cost containment activity across Commercial Lines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent data and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build and executive effective plans and drive performance.
