Your new companyOur Client is a Global Bank who is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commodities Specialist in Trade Finance to join their Operations Services department. This role is crucial in providing processing support for trade finance, and cash management products, with a strong focus on commodities. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in trade finance, particularly within the commodities sector, and will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery of the Bank's products and services. Your new roleCommodities Specialist, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient handling of the Bank's trade finance products and services. This includes providing post-sanction conformance on all Trade Finance facilities, ongoing transactional and collateral management, and supporting the development of the Bank's Commodity business;
- Process Management: Prepare, manage, and review processes and procedures to ensure efficient Middle Office operations.
- Customer Support: Assist and respond to customers' daily transaction enquiries, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Transaction Handling: Ensure all client requests are prepared and processed in accordance with relevant risk approvals and passed to the processing areas promptly.
- Strategic Development: Contribute to the strategic growth of the Bank's commodity trade finance portfolio.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with the Bank's Compliance and Sanction policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Reporting: Deliver accurate Management Information (MI) and detailed reports on client exposure to products and commodities.
What you'll need to succeed- Proven track record in the financial services industry with hands-on experience in trade finance, specifically within the commodities sector.- Strong understanding of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and familiarity with syndication loan and bilateral products.- Ability to draft policies and procedures, strong planning and organisational skills, people management, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and excellent communication skills.- Team player with a proactive approach and the ability to represent the Bank professionally at events and conferences.This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a significant impact on the Bank's commodity trade finance operations.
