Fund Finance Associate - OUR CLIENT is a fast growing, niche specialist developer and fund / asset manager focussing on the alternative residential sector, with active platforms in those markets. They are looking to deploy more capital and scale their assets further. Due to continued growth, they have created a new role for a Fund Finance Associate to cover all aspects relating to investment, divestment, business planning and asset/portfolio management and the platforms that it manages on behalf of investors. The role will work closely with the CFO and requires the ability to work independently and remotely, taking responsibility for managing one’s own workload.

The Fund Finance Associate role responsibilities will include:

  • Financial modelling at fund level.
  • Tracking development and capex costs with the Development Team.
  • Modelling Investor distributions and liquidity management for SPVs across the portfolios.
  • Engaging with external service providers.
  • Preparing returns forecasts for proposed investment and supporting the Partners in presenting this as appropriate.
  • Designing, producing, amending and updating complex financial models, IRR etc.) for transactions, business planning.
  • Running scenario analysis on the models and producing summaries to enable decision making.
  • Working in partnership with operational colleagues in future rent setting and OPEX models.
  • Additionally, taking on a data leadership role in the finance function across the asset and property management businesses focussing on data accuracy and recommended continuous innovation and improvements and creating bespoke reporting harnessing technology to automate where possible.

The Person qualification and skills requirements include:

  • Qualified accountant with ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Prior real estate knowledge or experience is preferable.
  • Ability to design and develop large scale data models from scratch.
  • Strong data modelling and data presentation.
  • Good Word and extensive advanced Excel skills as well as knowledge of Power BI.
  • Good report writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple reports and trackers to support key company personnel.
