We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Group Accounting Lead to join an international data and analytics group on a 6 month contract. This role is pivotal in streamlining and enhancing their financial processes through standardization and process improvements.

The successful candidate will lead the month-end close process, manage consolidation and eliminations, and drive standardization initiatives. You will play a critical role in supporting our CPS integration and ensuring accurate financial disclosures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the month-end close process, including establishment of a timetable and control of deficiencies remediation.
  • Oversee consolidation and eliminations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Facilitate the integration of a new acquisition, defining better processes for capturing financials, FTE, intercompany transactions, and loan/interest payments.
  • Drive the standardization of month-end processes and implement a close timetable and checklist.
  • Provide clarity of deliverables and transitioning guidance to quarterly processes with an emphasis on accounting for accruals.
  • Support A&R accounting judgments sign-off and checklist preparation for CFO approval.
  • Investigate current financial reporting issues, provide resolution pathways, and ensure alignment of NetSuite with published numbers.
  • Collaborate with project roles to manage NetSuite consolidation and elimination processes.
  • Conduct Blackline reconciliations to maintain accurate and consistent financial records.

Person Specifications

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA)
  • Proven experience in a senior accounting role, with a focus on consolidation, eliminations, and month-end close processes.
  • Strong command of financial systems, particularly NetSuite and Blackline.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and drive standardization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and timely financial reports.
