Equifind has partnered with one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in the UK to assist in the recruitment of a Group Finance Manager. This newly established role will be based at their London office near Liverpool Street station and requires office-attendance three days pw.
The business is a financial technology company that leverages advanced AI and algorithms to streamline its product offerings. It has achieved an average revenue growth of 46% over the past five years and proudly maintains 40% female representation in senior management roles. As they expand into North America, they are seeking a skilled and qualified accountant to oversee group reporting and consolidations.
Key duties include
- Take ownership of the monthly close process for all group entities, providing technical expertise on complex areas such as consolidation, cash flow statements, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, addressing queries from both local teams and the group consolidation team.
- Supporting with the preparation of annual budgets for the group
- Manage aspects of UK and USA tax reporting while liaising with external tax advisors
- Key point of contact for annual key elements of external financial audits across the group
- Contributing to the improvement and development of financial controls, processes, and reporting.
- Supporting the delivery of accurate and timely management information.
- Assisting with the migration of data from legacy accounting systems to the group’s accounting software.
Key requirements
- ACA/CA qualified accountant, preferably trained in audit
- A minimum of 5 years experience, ideally working within a group function
- Prior experience of working with FCA or SEC regulated businesses
- Advanced-level Excel skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid understanding of financial reporting requirements
- Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills
