- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and governance standards, maintaining alignment with organisational policies.
- Manage the monthly and periodic financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and driving improvements in internal controls.
- Oversee the review of accounting transactions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with control mechanisms.
- Establish and maintain a robust internal control environment, consistently ensuring compliance and quality assurance.
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external audits, overseeing the year-end close process and facilitating seamless collaboration.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing exceptional service and support.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process and system improvements in partnership with technology and transformation teams.
- Experience of working in and managing within a finance shared service centre environment.
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Proven expertise in leading teams within finance or shared services, with a track record of driving process improvement and fostering a culture of continuous enhancement.
- Strong organisational skills and a process-driven mindset, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all deliverables.
- A solution-focused approach, with exceptional attention to detail and a methodical attitude towards problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
