Finance Controller

We are looking for a technically strong, highly motivated Finance Controller, ideally with SME experience to join a high performing team. Experienced people manager is high advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team management: Direct, support and ensure consistently high performance from direct and indirect reports.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations
- Lead the implementation of a new accounting system
- Manage monthly payroll reconciliation and ensure timely payments
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and handle intercompany transactions
- Ensure accounting records comply with IFRS standards
- Supervise and manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage cash flow, debt, and collections processes
- Collaborate with business managers on monthly reporting and budget/forecast queries
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks for senior leadership
- Maintain and implement robust financial management processes and controls
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA or CIMA preferred)
- Strong academic background and proven track record
- Advanced Excel skills and high aptitude for systems
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, busy environment
- Experience in a Private Equity-backed organisation is a plus, but not essential
