Head of Finance - Computer Gaming Start Up

As we scale and expand, we're looking for a visionary Head of Finance to guide our financial strategy, foster growth, and ensure the long-term financial health of our company.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Financial Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies that support business growth, product development, and operational efficiency within a startup context.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to drive real decision-making and help us hit key financial and operational milestones.
  • Cash Flow Management: Ensure strong cash flow management and optimise working capital to support game development cycles.
  • Investor Relations: Manage relationships with investors, prepare reports, and communicate financial performance and future projections.
  • Build a High-Performing Finance Team: Figure out whether this is onsite or how we use tools and outsourced support together, eventually growing a team, instilling a culture of financial excellence.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations while maintaining transparency and accountability.

Who You Are:

  • You are qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA and have 5+ years of experience in finance, ideally with experience in the tech, entertainment, or gaming industries.
  • You're an expert in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • You will thrive in a start-up environment, comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the challenge of building something from the ground up.
  • You're a strategic thinker, able to align financial goals with the overall vision of the business.
  • You bring strong communication skills, able to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders and investors.
