Description
- Leading the finance department and overseeing all financial operations.
- Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the charity's objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Preparing financial reports and statements for the board of trustees.
- Managing the charity's budget and forecasting financial trends.
- Collaborating with other departments to align financial strategies with organisational goals.
- Representing the charity in financial meetings and negotiations.
- Promoting financial understanding and responsibility across the organisation.
Profile
A successful 'Head of Finance' must:
- Be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Have Charity/NFP experience
- Extensive experience in financial management, particularly within a large international charity
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing a team
- Excellent budgeting and financial reporting skills
- Experience in strategic planning and financial forecasting
- Strong negotiation skills and a diplomatic approach to financial discussions
