Head of Finance | Bermondsey | £80k - £95k

Cobb & Jones Recruitment are working exclusively with a small, yet creative and innovative Group based near Central London, serving a niche global client base. Their passion for delivering exceptional projects drives their success, and we are now recruiting a dynamic Head of Finance to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the financial landscape of the organisation as they establish their first senior finance leadership role.

*PLEASE NOTE* To be considered for this role you must as an absolute minimum, have experience in a project-related industry, WIP and revenue recognition similar to that in construction (this isn’t a construction company per se, make up a key part of the remit).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a small finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Partner closely with commercial and project teams to ensure contract viability and performance are maintained.
  • Oversee Work in Progress (WIP) and revenue recognition processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Establish and improve financial processes to enhance efficiencies and support business growth.
  • Ensure timely Group reporting in line with strict deadlines, reporting directly to the Managing Director and providing insights to the Group CFO.
  • Monitor financial performance, provide strategic guidance, and support decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in finance roles within project-related industries, with a strong understanding of WIP and revenue recognition.
  • Formal qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing small teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Ability to establish processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
