Partner Financial are currently working with a high-growth FMCG, operating globally with offices based in EMEA, MENA and North America. This complex organisation is now embarking on their next phase of growth with this hire being a pivotal position in the finance team. This role will require a deep knowledge of accounting standards and strong stakeholder management skills coupled with a high degree of awareness around commercial drivers.

The business has a clear strategic agenda to achieve market excellence and will be delivering against this ambitious agenda by further investing and developing in their market leading offering.

As the Head of Financial Reporting, you will support the CFO in transforming finance into a true partner to the business and in building a centre of excellence.

Key tasks in the role will include:

  • Take responsibility for financial reporting, the annual financial and business planning exercise, monthly forecasting, performance reviews and value-added monthly management reporting.
  • Ensure external reporting is done to the highest standard and thrive to create a best-in-class reporting function.
  • Provide support to the CFO and Executive Team ensuring that the controls, systems, processes and team are positioned to provide accurate, timely data, both internally and externally.
  • Manage the external relationships with advisors such as the auditors and attend all meetings involving auditors.
  • Business partnering with Senior Stakeholders at a Global levelto understand their systems, processes and business issues and to challenge the information they report to the Group.
  • Encourage continuous development within your team and the wider finance team as well as making sure you have the right control framework in place.
  • Ability to think strategically, to make recommendationsand drive change through the organisation in order to help the business prioritise its capital and resources and find efficiencies

The successful candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with experience working in a product based environment having built and developed a world-class, well-run function. This person needs to have demonstrated the ability to build an effective and business focused finance team. The ability to influence others and drive change is imperative to this role.
