Our client is an established Oil trading company, with physical assets across Europe. They actively source, refine, market and trade Crude Oil and Oil products, and associated financial derivatives.
The business is also taking a lead role in the Energy Transition with the development of several projects aimed to utilise existing infrastructure across Europe to develop renewable energy, green hydrogen, and carbon capture to enable local industries to re reduce carbon emissions.
Due to recent growth across their asset portfolio, we are looking to expand the senior management team to include a Head of Group FP&A, reporting directly to the Group CFO.
Candidates for this role should hold professional accountancy qualifications and have gained several years of FP&A experience. Applicants will need to demonstrate a pro-active, can-do attitude to join this small team at such a pivotal time for the Group.
THE MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Preparation of Group budget for the global Oil Group.
- Reforecasting of Group budget during each financial year.
- Preparation and maintenance of three-year Group plan.
- Liaising (dotted line) with local FP&A teams and Group functions for the preparation of the budget and three-year plan.
- Delivery of all financial analysis requirements of Chairman and C-suite (including key non-financial metrics, e.g. Solomon reporting).
- Preparation of presentations and reporting for senior management for both external and internal purposes.
- Providing key commercial and financial insights to senior management.
- Support on key projects - analysis and relevant financial metrics/ objectives.
- Preparation of performance reporting for reward purposes with Commercial/ HR teams - reporting thereof.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Financial Accounting & Control teams (with exposure to Group Financial Control and/ or Commodities preferrable).
