Head of Group Reporting | London (hybrid working) | 12 month FTC | £100,000 - £110,000 + benefits | Global Consumer brand

An internationally renowned consumer brand based in Central London (hybrid) is seeking a Head of Group Reporting to join the business on a 12-month contract, starting in December or January. You will be joining the Head Office of this global brand at a key time; the business is heavily investing in several global projects to facilitate further global expansion, some of which you will play a key part in.

Reporting to the Director of Group Finance, you will oversee the brand's group consolidation and review the work of the group reporting team. The role will involve significant interaction with stakeholders globally.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 5 in group finance and further indirect reports
  • Lead the preparation of the consolidated multi-currency financial statements to comply with accounting standards and regulatory requirements (IFRS, 100+ entities)
  • Partnering with key stakeholders across the business including Regional CFO’s to ensure timely consolidation of group accounts and review data analysis submitted monthly
  • Overseeing preparation of footnote disclosures
  • Review of acquisition accounting papers and ownership of IFRS16 disclosures
  • Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex accounting issues to ensure compliance with accounting standards/practices
  • Manage the external audit process and coordinate with auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit and resolve any issues

Skill set required:

To be considered you must be a Top 10 trained ACA/CA Qualified Accountant with experience working at Senior Manager level or Head of Group Reporting either in practice or industry. You will have strong multi-currency consolidation experience working under IFRS, gained from working for/ auditing a large and complex group structure. The ability to lead a team and take ownership for the year-end of a large, complex group is key for this role. a You will be proactive and organised with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders based globally.
