Head of IBA | Lloyd's Broker | Hybrid/London | £1XX,000 (doe)

Finitas are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a growing Lloyd's brokerage company in their search for a Head of IBA (Insurance Business Accounting) - this is a newly created role due to good company growth! You will be managing a team of 15 people and ensuring that they are providing effective Fiduciary Accounting services to the business.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for all Fiduciary Accounting functions including but not limited to Client Money, Credit Risk, Funding, Allocation of Cash and Unforwarded Balances.
  • Strategic oversight and improving functions structure, processes & procedures as required.
  • Monitor and improve processes & procedures to ensure credit control policies are maintained.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as and when required.
  • Evaluating and managing the performance of direct reports ensuring they have the correct training & development in place and are adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Producing regular MI on the ageing of unallocated cash, funding, payable credits, aged debt, doubtful brokerage and other key KPI's required by the Client Money or Credit Control Committees.
  • Prepare FCA monthly, quarterly and annual reporting as and when required.

Experience required:

  • Must be from an insurance background - ideally London market/Lloyd's broking.
  • Minimum 10 years finance experience working in an IBA role.
  • Previous management experience with the ability to lead, develop & people effectively.
  • Ability to multi task and meet processing SLA's / project deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and delegation skills.

Please note you will be required to work in their London office 2 days a week.

You will be working closely with senior management in driving the IBA function forward whilst working across their global jurisdictions, so you will have plenty of influence on the role.
