Head of Market Risk- Energy

I am working exclusively with an energy solutions provider to find a Head of Market Risk. In this key leadership position, you will oversee the market risk management function, ensuring the development of robust risk models and stress testing scenarios while aligning risk management practices with business objectives.

You will be responsible for creating a market risk management framework, identifying potential risks through diligent monitoring of trading data, and collaborating with trading teams to review strategies. Your role will also involve providing ad hoc analysis to support commercial decisions and fostering a culture of market risk awareness throughout the organisation.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of trading operations and financial markets, particularly within the energy sector. You should possess strong quantitative analytical and problem-solving skills, along with proven leadership abilities in building and managing high-performing teams.
