Head of Tax – Financial ServicesLocation: London, UKSalary: £130,000 - £150,000 + bonusAn innovative and fast-growing global Financial Services company based in London is looking for an experienced Head of Tax to lead its tax function across multiple jurisdictions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded tax professional to play a key role in shaping the company’s tax strategy and ensuring compliance in a dynamic sector.The RoleAs the Head of Tax, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of taxation, from compliance to strategic tax planning. Working closely with senior leadership, you will provide expert guidance on corporate tax, VAT, and international tax matters, while also identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the tax function, ensuring compliance with all corporate and indirect tax obligations.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise the company’s global tax position.
  • Advise on tax considerations for commercial transactions and international expansion.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities, handling audits and responding to queries.
  • Oversee transfer pricing policies and drive initiatives to enhance tax efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of tax disclosures in financial statements.
  • Support tax aspects of M&A activity and corporate structuring projects.
About You:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) accreditation.
  • Extensive experience in corporate tax within a multinational or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong expertise in VAT across multiple jurisdictions (Europe is a must)
  • Background in fintech, financial services, or a high-growth technology business is beneficial.
  • Big 4 experience or in-house tax leadership experience in an international group.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complex tax issues.
