I am delighted to be assisting my client, an exciting startup with substantial financial backing, with an opportunity to join their IBA Department. Based in the heart of the City, this role involves engagement with both the London and overseas insurance markets.
As part of the Finance department, your primary focus will be on managing premium and commission processes, ensuring they run smoothly while identifying and implementing potential improvements. Additionally, you will handle other IBA responsibilities, such as posting and allocating cash and resolving general queries.
The ideal candidate will have some experience or relevant qualifications in an IBA role within the London insurance market, along with a basic understanding of key processes in this area, such as the main types of payments received and issued.
Core Responsibilities
- Download bank statements
- Agree entries for each account
- Allocate cash received to risks
- Make payments to underwriters
- Monthly bank reconciliation
- Produce brokerage reports
- Sending out monthly statements to underwriters
- Chasing clients for overdue premiums
- Resolve queries received from underwriters
- Liaise with Technical Team to resolve queries as well as any missing closings
- Coordinate with colleagues looking after clients

About You
- Understand and experience of CASS 5
- Intermediate level Excel
- Insurance experience
- Some finance experience working in an IBA role
