Interim CFO | Rapidly Scaling Cleantech Businesss | Remote

Harmonic are delighted to be exclusively recruiting an Interim CFO for one of Europe's most impressive scale-ups within the Cleantech space. This is an initial 6 month interim period, with the strong likelihood of extending or transferring to permanent employment.

The Client

With headcount over 150 and having just doubled their revenue year on year for the 3rd consecutive year, our client has made a true name within the Cleantech and Renewables space. Our client has built a fantastic reputation across Europe and are widely regarded as one of the most exciting scale-ups in Europe.

They are now looking for an Interim CFO to join at a pivotal time in their growth journey for a period of 6 months with the potential to transfer to permanent employment. The ideal candidate must have experience working as a CFO in a true scale-up (late stage venture or PE Backed) with headcount upwards of 150.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the finance function whilst also playing an integral part of both Commercial and Strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for primary financial aspects of the company.
  • Contribute to general Commercial and Financial decision-making alongside the Board.
  • Ensuring a robust financial controls environment.
  • Investor relations and corporate strategy.
  • Financial planning and analysis; ownership of the business model, budgets and all FP&A.
  • Financial control; oversight of financial operations and management accounts.
  • Prepare the business for further fundraises and potential M&A activity.
  • Effective delivery of Board reports.
  • Oversee a finance team of 7 people.
  • Ad-hoc projects around ERP, Finance team structure.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a dynamic, scaling environment - PE or VC Backed (later stage venture), at a company of at least 150 headcount
  • Leadership skills across the management and finance team
  • Resilient and keen to work in a fast paced environment
  • Comfortable in a remote working environment

Bonus Skills

  • Cleantech/Renewables/Green-Tech experience

Location: Remote (with some occasional travel to office locations in UK and Europe)

Day Rate: £1300-£1800 (Potential flexibility, dependent on experience)

Contract length: 6 months initially (chance to extend thereafter or transfer to permanent employment)
