Morgan Law is working with a Not-For-Profit organisation who are in need of an interim CFO to cover a period of absence.

  • 6 months
  • £750 - £850 per day inside of IR35
  • Hybrid (London based)

Accountabilities

  • Lead on the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the company and its subsidiaries
  • Provide financial input to the CEO and board
  • Oversee the monitoring and analysis of financial performance against key performance indicators and benchmarks
  • Develop the technology blueprint and financial data architecture to ensure timely, accurate and holistic reporting of the finance related matters
  • Support the CEO, COO and Group Director of Strategy in identifying and analysing new business opportunities and providing guidance through an effective due diligence activities
  • Support the ongoing assessment of the organisation's assets, advising the board on financial viability, risk and opportunity
  • Ensure financial controls are in place and continually reviewed to ensure they remain effective in measuring business performance, assessment of risk and identification of emerging opportunities for cost saving and increasing profitability
  • Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and third parties to which functions have been outsourced
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, presenting clear performance to internal and external stakeholders to aid decision making.
  • Lead on financial aspects in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives

Candidate Requirements

  • Be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ ACA)
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive
  • Have a strong understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Possess strong technical accounting skills, particularly when consolidating individual subsidiary accounts for an organisation
  • Previous experience in leading on transitioning in a new finance system
  • Have a background in leading the finance functions of charities, central government bodies or Institutions
