Morgan McKinley are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Consultant to join a rapidly growing tech startup based in Central London to support the team on a 3 day finance project.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial reporting, audit documentation, and compliance.

This role is paying up £500 - £600 a day inside IR35 dependant on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to ensure financial statements meet required global accounting standards.
  • Advise on the required financial disclosures, including risk management, accounting policies, and financial performance metrics ensuring full compliance.
  • Assist in preparing audit documentation in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure financial processes align with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and compliance standards.
  • Advise on compliance with the Companies Act 2006, including governance, reporting, and legal responsibilities of the company.
  • Contribute to the broader business perspective, leveraging your financial knowledge beyond pure audit tasks to align financial strategy with company goals.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Strong expertise in IFRS and financial disclosure requirements.
  • Proven experience with audit documentation and AML compliance.
  • Solid understanding of the Companies Act 2006.
  • Experience in a business-focused financial role (beyond audit) is preferred.
