Interim Finance Director | Hyper-growth SaaS Scale-Up | 6-Month Contract

Harmonic are delighted to be working with an Elite SaaS Scale-Up to recruit a highly experienced and commercially astute Interim Finance Director on an initial 6-Month contract as they head into a period of high growth. Our client has received significant funding (circa £50m) over the last 2 years which has led to a rapidly growing head count within the finance department.

The Client

Our client has developed a powerful SaaS product which is utilised by large corporations in the Financial Services space. Their low volume, high value model is something that must be very familiar to the inbound Interim Finance Director. They are a leader in their market, and have entities across Europe and the US, with the majority of their Finance team being located in the UK out of their London HQ.

The Role

This role comes with the responsibility of managing a Finance team of 6, with a large focus on automating finance systems and ensuring the FP&A function is robust and future proof. The successful candidate must have a broad range skills and be able to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The contract will run for an initial 6-Month period, with the potential for this to become a permanent position.

Duties

  • Owning the financial modelling and business partnering with the product and client engagement teams.
  • Manage accounting function and make continuous process improvements.
  • Support the Senior Leadership team with strategic decisions using key financial insights.
  • Have ownership of the FP&A function, setting up both long & short-term revenue forecasts.
  • Develop and present KPI's to the executive team.
  • Continuously improve and develop internal controls.

Essential Experience

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified
  • Previous experience leading Finance teams.
  • Commercial acumen and a strong FP&A Background
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a SaaS Start-Up or Scale-Up
  • High level of communication skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and partner with stakeholders.
  • Background in improving internal processes and efficiencies.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience in a B2B SaaS Scale-Up with high value, low volume model.
  • Previously led a Start up between Series-A and Series-C

Day Rate: £700-£900/day (Outside IR35)

Location: London (hybrid, 2-3 days per week in the office)
