We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join a well-respected charity based in North-West London. This charity plays a vital role in supporting the local community and has strong connections with a large, well-known brand.This position assists during a period of holiday and long-term sickness. The contract is initially a 1 month period, but will be an ongoing assignment for the time being.As the Interim Finance Manager, you will work as part of a close-knit finance team, collaborating with two other dedicated team members. This is a hands-on role, covering all aspects of finance, and providing crucial support to the organisation as it continues its important work in the community.Key Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-Day Financial Operations: Oversee purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Donations & Gift Aid: Manage donations and ensure accurate Gift Aid reconciliations.
  • Trustee Reporting: Prepare financial reports for presentation to the charity’s trustees.
  • Month-End & HMRC Reporting: Ensure smooth and accurate completion of month-end processes and compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Year-End Reporting: Manage year-end accounts and reporting in line with SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice).
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll for the charity’s employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a finance manager or similar role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
  • Familiarity with charity accounting standards and SORP.
  • Strong knowledge of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payroll processing.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience presenting to trustees or senior management.
  • A proactive and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work well within a small team.
