- Day-to-Day Financial Operations: Oversee purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Donations & Gift Aid: Manage donations and ensure accurate Gift Aid reconciliations.
- Trustee Reporting: Prepare financial reports for presentation to the charity’s trustees.
- Month-End & HMRC Reporting: Ensure smooth and accurate completion of month-end processes and compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Year-End Reporting: Manage year-end accounts and reporting in line with SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice).
- Payroll Processing: Process payroll for the charity’s employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Proven experience in a finance manager or similar role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
- Familiarity with charity accounting standards and SORP.
- Strong knowledge of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payroll processing.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience presenting to trustees or senior management.
- A proactive and collaborative attitude, with the ability to work well within a small team.
- Annual salary of £45,000 (converted to a daily rate)
