Robertson Bell is partnering with a respected charitable organisation to recruit an Interim Senior Finance Officer for an initial three-month contract, with the potential for a permanent position. The role offers a flexible working pattern, requiring just one to two days a week in the London office—perfect for someone looking to make an immediate impact.

As Interim Senior Finance Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of running payroll ensuring all staff members are paid correctly and in a timely manner. As well as handling queries urgently and with compassion
  • Responsible for completing VAT returns and partnering with the Head of Finance on any complex issues
  • Leading and mentoring the Junior Finance Officer, serving as their primary point of contact and ensuring deadlines are met

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experienced in a hands-on finance role within a charitable organisation
  • Strong expertise in both payroll and VAT
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with excellent leadership and communication skills
