Ambient People is partnering with a London borough to find an Interim Finance Manager specialising in Social Care. This London local authority seeks a dynamic finance professional who is passionate about making a positive impact on community services.

You will play a key role in driving impactful social care projects, while collaborating closely with a dedicated finance team and heads of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver insightful financial advice to drive key decisions that impact Social Care services.

  • Present the monthly financial performance tracker to executive members of the council.
  • Prepare the quarterly budget monitor for Social Care.
  • Improve reporting quality, including financial reviews and analysis.
  • Focus on budget management and financial planning for social care initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven local government finance expertise, particularly with Social Care (either Adults or Childrens).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and effective communication at all levels.
  • Familiarity with local government finance and budget monitoring practices.
