We are delighted to be supporting CPD Schools Federation in their search for an Interim Head of Finance to join the team. You will work closely with the Executive Headteacher and SLT Teams within the schools.

The sucessful candidate will have experience within the Education sector.

Key accountabilties:

  • Responsible for all areas managed to meet the reporting requirements and standards of Ofsted, the DfE, SFVS, Local Authority and the school’s Governing Body.
  • Responsible for facilities and property management, financial resources management and the maintenance of a balanced budget, the management of school contracts relating to the above, insurances, catering, cleaning, educational services and any other contract relevant to the post.
  • Responsible for leading specific projects in relation to the School Improvement Plan. Working with external providers and being responsible for project managing major financial purchases within the school on an annual basis.
  • Responsibility for the implementation of Best Value principles.
  • Responsible for providing advice and support to the Executive Headteacher and other Senior Leadership members in relation to HR planning, financial planning and premises related issues.
  • Be a vital channel of communication to the Executive Head teacher, optimising the flow of information.
  • Support the Headteachers and other SLT members in creating a culture of learning, achievement and success by personal example, leadership, demonstrating willingness, strategic thinking and evaluation to promote the school’s aims.
  • Be responsible for leading HR, Financial and Premises initiatives in relation to whole school planning, policy making and the management of change.
  • Actively develop links with relevant external organisations.
