Finance Manager (Luxury Retailer – West London)Contract: 8+ months | Hybrid (1-2 days in the office)Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 per annum (depending on experience)A rapidly growing luxury retailer based in West London is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on finance professional to play a key role in managing the financial operations of a fast-paced and ambitious business while driving process improvements and implementing best practices.The Role As Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Finance Director and support the business as it undergoes significant growth. This role offers a mix of operational and strategic responsibilities, including:
  • Month-End Responsibilities:
    • Prepare monthly management accounts with support from the finance team.
    • Build and review balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts.
    • Ensure timely and accurate stock reporting, with a focus on streamlining manual processes.
  • Financial Operations:
    • Oversee and ensure timely payment of invoices and expense claims.
    • Manage cash flow and currency requirements for international transactions.
    • Collaborate with the wholesale team to oversee receivables collection and supplier payments.
  • Process Improvement & Best Practices:
    • Review existing financial processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose improvements.
    • Ensure systems are integrated to deliver accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Oversee tax compliance and accurate reporting for VAT, PAYE, NIC, Corporation Tax, and global sales taxes.
    • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards (IFRS) and assist with audit preparations.
About You To be considered for this role, you will:
  • Be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Have experience in fashion retail or a stock-based business (e.g., manufacturing, wholesale, FMCG).
  • Be highly proficient in Excel and have experience with Xero.
  • Be immediately available and ready to hit the ground running.
  • Be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing operational tasks while maintaining a helicopter view to drive improvements and strategy.
