A Ideal role for an interim finance professional with IFRS17 experience gained in industry or practice to join a high successful and growing Lloyd's underwriter.

The overall remit will be to lead and manage the day-to-day activities in relation to IFRS17 operations, including the production of the quarterly / annual group results, and provision of required IFRS17 results to wider stakeholders. Duties will include:

  • Ownership of the calculation models and data platforms.
  • Production of IFRS 17 quarterly results - both pre and post consolidation
  • Ensure completion in line with the agreed close process timetable
  • Providing input to the process of preparing the group's financial statements
  • Manage the preparation of IFRS 17 data used for monthly MI pack purposes
  • Contribute to the research of evolutions to the IFRS17 accounting policies and implementation of necessary changes
  • Manage implementation of changes to IFRS 17 systems and processes, working with other relevant parties (IT, Actuarial) and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains whenever possible
  • Research of technical accounting issues, including supporting other Finance teams on general accounting matter in respect of existing activities, and advising on the IFRS 17 implications
  • Supporting the business more widely in related projects and initiatives
